About Antewise — How These Guides Are Made

What this site is

Antewise is an independent guide site for mechanically deep games. It exists because most guide coverage is either a data dump with no reasoning, or an opinion with no evidence. We try to publish the reasoning and show the evidence.

How pages are produced

Every guide here is built the same way:

  1. Start from rules, not from lists. A game’s systems have a shape — an order operations resolve in, a resource that is scarce, a decision that is made once and compounds. We try to explain that shape first.
  2. Derive, then check. Where a claim can be derived from the game’s stated rules, we derive it and show the derivation. Where it needs a figure, we check the figure.
  3. Name the source. Each page states where its information came from and when it was last checked.
  4. Leave gaps visible. If we cannot verify something, we say so on the page rather than filling it in.

What we do not do

  • We do not claim play experience we don’t have. You will not see “in my 200 hours” or “I tested this build” here. Where hands-on experience genuinely matters and we don’t have it, the page says so and gives you the decision rule instead.
  • We do not publish figures we haven’t checked. Exact values, rates and drop figures get verified before they go up. Until then the page explains the mechanism and marks the numbers as pending.
  • We do not use game artwork. Titles, names and trademarks belong to their owners. Our visuals are original.
  • We do not bulk-generate pages. A game only gets a hub here once there is enough real material to be useful.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us. Corrections are the highest-value feedback we get, and pages are updated rather than left to rot.

Disclosure

Some pages contain affiliate links to game stores. Where a link earns us a commission it is marked, and it never changes what we recommend — the reasoning on the page comes first and the link follows. Advertising is served through third-party networks; see Privacy for what that means for you.
